Sarafa Bazaar: Gold by Day, Food by Night
There are very few places in the world that are jewellery markets by day and become 'Street Food Heaven' by night. Sarafa Bazaar is located behind Rajwada.
Must Try: Bhutte Ka Kees, Garadu, Joshi Dahi Bada (Flying Dahi Bada), Malpua and Rabri. The atmosphere here at night is like a festival.
Chappan Dukan (56 Shops)
Located in New Palasia, this is a 'Zero Waste' food street. It had a row of 56 shops, hence the name Chappan Dukan. It is very safe and hygienic for families.
Must Try: Johnny Hot Dog, Vijay Chaat House's Khopra Patties, and Madhuram Sweets' Shikanji.
The Iconic Poha-Jalebi
Morning in Indore is incomplete without Poha-Jalebi. Here Poha is served with "Jeeravan Masala" and "Indori Sev", making it unique.
Best Places: Prashant Poha (Rajwada), Head Sahab ke Pohe, and anywhere at Chappan Dukan.
Bhutte Ka Kees & Garadu
Bhutte Ka Kees: Made by grating corn and cooking it in milk and spices. Tastes sweet-sour and spicy.
Garadu: If visiting in winter, must try 'Garadu' (Fried Yam). It is deep fried and served with lemon and secret spices.
